Fire artists at events - A fiery review of the year by Sabrina Wolfram - Issue 6

The 6th edition of my actually weekly article from my life as a fire artist has now become a yearly review for 2016.
Due to many gigs and travels I unfortunately did not get around to writing. Therefore I have all the more to tell this time :-)

2016 was and still is a very turbulent year. Many fire shows for weddings, company events and other festivities were on the program.
In addition, this year I started a new great project together with a colleague from Hamburg. HOMBRE loco is a personality act with music in the style of the wild 60s and 70s. The focus is on the two protagonists and their stage presence.
We put our heart and soul into our work and little by little our stage program is ready.

As you might expect, I am bringing my work as Fire artist into this project.

The debut EP "Das sind Wir!" was released as a limited edition in October on "Nemo Records / Kontor new Media".

On the road as a fire artist - a review of the year

Another highlight in 2016 was my performance as a fire artist at the Freaknation Party at the Park Café in Wiesbaden. Very different from my usual shows, this performance took place directly in the club to the music that was played. Matching the theme I was made up by the make-up artist and then it started. Just because of this I had a lot of fun as a fire artist!

As a fire artist you get around in the world history and what 2016 concerns at least once in Germany.

Together with my team I was on the road in different, dreamlike beautiful event locations. A great location for our fire shows is the Hotel Annaberg in Bad Dürkheim. Also in the winery Villa Hochdörffer in Landau our show was well received. The estate in Ladenburg could not be missing this year.

In addition, we were as fire artists this year three times on the castle Heinsheim in Bad Rappenau. I got married there myself, so I will always associate something special with this beautiful location. By the way, I came across Heinsheim Castle through a fire show. Meanwhile I feel almost at home there :-)

In summer our brand new fire show in the style of the twenties had its premiere. The occasion was the 20th anniversary of the residence "Leben am Wald" in Grasellenbach.
3 fire artists and a mix of fire and pyrotechnics provided the best entertainment.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big and heartfelt thank you to those who have booked us as fire artists for their events (again) this year!

We are always happy when our work as fire artists is well received!

New office is moved into

Also this year I moved into my new office in hall 02 in the Heidelberg Bahnstadt. Together with 11 other co-workers and of course the staff of hall 02, I work like a charm. In between there is of course also time to chat, have a coffee or a meal. Here, too, I have already been able to make valuable contacts.

Speaking of making contacts. Since 2 years I am part of the moderator team of the RHEIN NECKAR NETZWERK e.V. 

We are the Heidelberg Xing Ambassador Community and organize monthly well-attended business meetings in Heidelberg. In March this year we celebrated the 4th birthday of our successful network.

Also here I have already brought in my work as a fire artist several times besides the moderator activity. We are looking forward to another successful year 2017 and start right away on 12.01. with our first business meeting, as usual in the NH Hotel in Heidelberg.

Dance and juggling workshops planned

In the new year more dance and juggling workshops for children and teenagers, but also for adults are planned due to the demand.

Only last week I gave 31 enthusiastic children of the Zirkus AG of the Pestalozzi School in Hockenheim an insight into poi spinning. I was just as enthusiastic as the children, the workshop was great fun!

I don't want to miss out on the adults, I am currently planning another workshop in the Heidelberg area, which will probably take place in spring.
Of course I am also working on my own quality as a fire artist and will participate in some workshops myself.

As a fire artist you discover dreamlike workplaces

Last but not least, I do not want to deprive anyone of my often dreamlike jobs. As a fire artist you often work where others spend their holidays. And it is in such a place that these dreamlike pictures were created.

The occasion was a wedding shooting at the wonderful beach of Rerik at the Baltic Sea.

And this is how it can look like, the dream wedding on the beach with a picturesque backdrop and as a crowning glory we set a highlight with our FIRE SHOW.
